Underwater Images from Malapascua Island in The Philippines
The Thresher Productions website was built to showcase underwater video and photographs from the coral reefs of the Philippines. Most of the footage and photos were taken near Malapascua, a small island off the north tip of Cebu, located in the Visayas area of the Philippines. The diving on Malapscua is truely spectacular. Located near the "Golden Triangle" of South-East Asia - the worldwide center of marine life that includes Sipidan and Sulawesi - the variety of marine life is incredible. Malapascua is particularly famous for its thresher sharks and is the only place in the world where close encounters with these magnificent creatures occur on a daily basis.
All photographs and video were taken by Andrea and Trevor who live and dive on Malapascua. Capturing spectacular images of the underwater life is their main passion.
